Dice Duel is a head-to-head roll against the house, and its one interesting feature is that beating the house is not enough on its own — the payout scales with how much you beat it by. Both sides roll two six-sided dice. Win by one or two and you collect 1.4×; win by seven or more and it pays 3.95×. A tie returns your stake untouched.
How to play Dice Duel
- Open Dice Duel in the Games hub. Launch Gift Club inside Telegram, open Games and select Dice Duel.
- Set your stake. Free mode pays XP. Paid mode accepts 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 Stars, or a TON bet between 0.1 and 10 TON.
- Roll. One tap rolls two dice for you and two for the house. There is nothing to choose — the entire round is the roll.
- Compare totals. Your two-dice total is compared against the house total. Higher wins, equal is a tie, lower loses.
- Collect on the margin. A win pays according to the gap between the totals: 1.4× for a margin of 1–2, 1.78× for 3–4, 2.73× for 5–6 and 3.95× for 7 or more.

Dice Duel pros and cons
Pros
- Ties push rather than lose, so 11% of rounds cost you nothing
- The margin ladder gives a single roll a genuine range of outcomes
- Symmetric: you and the house roll identical dice with no built-in roll advantage
- One tap per round, and no timing or cash-out decision to get wrong
- Provably fair, and accepts TON as well as Stars
Cons
- No decisions at all — the entire round resolves on one tap
- The 3.95× band needs a margin of 7+, which occurs on about 2.7% of rounds
- Most wins land in the 1.4× band, which is a thin return for a 44% win rate
Where the margin ladder actually lands
The headline is "up to 3.95×", but it is worth seeing how the win band is distributed. You win 44.37% of rounds. Of those wins, the great majority are narrow: margins of 1 or 2 account for over 20 percentage points of the total, and they pay the bottom rate of 1.4×. The 3.95× band — margins of 7 or more — makes up about 2.7% of all rounds.
Two dice produce a strongly bell-shaped total centred on 7, so two such totals are usually close together. A margin of 10 requires you to roll 12 while the house rolls 2, which happens once in roughly 1,300 rounds.
The tie is the part people miss
11.27% of rounds are ties, and a tie is a push: your stake comes back in full. That is meaningfully better than the tie handling in a lot of dice games, where an equal roll goes to the house. In practice it means only about 44% of rounds actually cost you anything.
Is there a strategy?
No. There is no choice anywhere in a Dice Duel round — you set a stake and tap. Everything after that is the dice. The only meaningful decision is the one before the round: how much, and how many rounds.
If you want a dice game where you do make a decision, go to Roll Over. There you set the threshold yourself, choosing any win chance between 1% and 97%, and the multiplier is priced to match. It is the same category of game with the control handed to the player.
How Dice Duel compares
- Versus Coin Flip: Coin Flip is a flat 50/50 at 1.90×. Dice Duel wins less often but pays a range, and refunds ties.
- Versus Color Predict: Color Predict lets you choose between a 40% shot at 2.375× and a 20% shot at 4.75×. Dice Duel gives you no such choice — the band is whatever the dice hand you.
- Versus Rock Paper Scissors: RPS also ties frequently and also pushes, but it compounds across five rounds to 30.40×, so it rewards staying in.
Is Dice Duel provably fair?
Yes. All four dice are derived from a server seed the game commits to by publishing its hash before the roll, combined with your client seed and a round nonce. After the round the seed is revealed, so you can recompute all four dice and confirm they match the commitment. The house dice are drawn from the same seeded stream as yours — there is no separate roll for the house that could be adjusted after seeing your result.
Dice Duel FAQ
How does Dice Duel decide the payout?
By your winning margin — your two-dice total minus the house total. A margin of 1 or 2 pays 1.4×, 3 or 4 pays 1.78×, 5 or 6 pays 2.73×, and 7 or more pays 3.95×. Beating the house is necessary but the size of the win determines the rate.
What happens if Dice Duel ends in a tie?
A tie is a push: your stake is returned in full and nothing is won or lost. Ties happen on 11.27% of rounds, which means only about 44% of rounds actually cost you your stake.
How often does Dice Duel pay the maximum 3.95×?
The 3.95× band requires a margin of 7 or more, which occurs on roughly 2.7% of all rounds. Most wins land on a margin of 1 or 2 and pay 1.4× — narrow margins are far more common because two-dice totals cluster around 7.
What are the odds of winning Dice Duel?
You roll higher than the house 44.37% of the time, tie 11.27% of the time and roll lower 44.37% of the time. The win and loss rates are identical because both sides roll the same two dice — the payout ladder, not the roll, is where the house margin sits.
Can I improve my chances in Dice Duel?
No. There are no choices in a round beyond the stake — you tap and both sides roll. If you want a dice game with an actual decision, Roll Over lets you set your own win threshold anywhere from 1% to 97% and prices the multiplier to match.
