How to get free Stars in Telegram

To get Telegram Stars for free, without paying, use Telegram's own routes first: a friend gifts you Stars, you win a channel's Star giveaway, you join an affiliate program, or you convert a gift you received. Those Stars land on your Telegram balance. Apps add free rewards on top, such as the Gift Club daily streak. Here is where each way puts the Stars:

1. Ask a friend to gift you Stars

The simplest free Stars are someone else's. Any Telegram user can buy you a pack from Settings → My Stars → Gift Stars: you see a Stars gift in the chat, and the Stars land on your balance at once. It's free for you, not for them, so it works best as a birthday wish or a swap. How it works on each phone is in How to gift Telegram Stars.

2. Win a channel's Star giveaway

Since September 2024, channel and group owners can give away Stars to their members. The host pays for the Stars up front, Telegram draws the winners at random, and the Stars go to the winners' balances. A real giveaway only asks you to join the channel or group: if it wants your login code, a fee or a "verification" first, it isn't one. 3. Join a Telegram affiliate program

Since December 2024, every Telegram user and channel can join the affiliate programs that mini-app developers run. Open Settings → My Stars, browse the programs, take your referral link and share it. When someone you brought buys something in that mini-app, your share appears in your Star balance in real time. Gift Club runs one at 20% for 3 months. It pays only when the people you bring spend Stars, so it suits channel owners and group admins best.

4. Convert a gift you received into Stars

When someone sends you a regular Telegram gift, you choose: keep it on your profile, or convert it into Stars. Converting removes the gift and usually pays less than the sender spent, and only the person who received it can do it. 5. Earn Stars as a creator or channel owner

If you have an audience, fans can pay you directly. Channel owners keep all the Stars from Star reactions, and can post paid photos and videos or charge a monthly Star subscription for an invite link. Telegram Premium users can charge Stars for messages from people outside their contacts, and groups can charge Stars for messages. Stars earned from messages can be withdrawn through Fragment 21 days after you earn them.

6. Claim a daily streak: the Gift Club streak

In September 2026 the Gift Club streak was rebuilt from scratch. It now pays Sparks, a free currency: one Spark is one round in any of the 31 mini-games, and that round pays XP. Stars rounds never spend Sparks. Here is what you get just for opening the app the first time:

How it works. Every 4 hours you claim your streak reward. On day 1 it pays 20 Sparks and a little XP, and every further streak day adds another 5% to the claim. Day 2 adds a +10 Spark bonus on top, day 3 adds +15. Days 7, 15 and 30 are bonus days. Came in through a friend's invite? You get 25 more Sparks on top of the starting 10.

Friends make the Spark jar bigger. Sparks collect in a jar that holds 50, and your streak doesn't grow it: friends do. Every friend who joins through your invite link and has claimed their own streak in the last 3 days adds room for 25 more Sparks and 10% to every claim you make, for up to five friends. That takes the jar to 75, 100, 125, 150 and, with five friends, 175, with every claim paying up to 50% more. A claim into a full jar still counts for the streak, but Sparks that don't fit are lost, whether they come from a claim, a prize or a task, so playing beats hoarding. The one time the jar overfills is signup: your starter Sparks, a friend's invite bonus and your first claim all land in full.

So where are the Stars? Every new player gets a free Streak Bonus card for their first 5 days. While it's active, your first streak claim each day also pays Stars — 3 Stars plus 5% per streak day; later claims that day pay Sparks and XP. Those five days bring about 19 Stars. After that, any top-up of 10 Stars or more, or any box purchase, brings the card back. Stars in Gift Club can't be withdrawn — you play with them: stake them in mini-games and open gift boxes.

The streak doesn't burn. Miss a day and the streak freezes — the freeze from your welcome kit saves it. New freezes arrive on streak days 7 and 15.

What 30 days of showing up pays

Every streak day adds 5% to the claim, and days 7, 15 and 30 pay a milestone on top. By day 30 the growth is +145%, so the same tap that paid 20 Sparks on day 1 pays 49, and each milestone adds a Spark box. With a 10-Star Streak Bonus card active, the day-30 claim also pays 35 Stars.

Here is the first claim of each key day, with no friends adding to it. Sparks are paid on every claim, card or no card; the Stars columns need a Streak Bonus card.

The jar decides how much of a claim you keep. With no friends it holds 50 Sparks, so every claim on the road, up to day 30's 49, fits into an empty jar, but whatever lands on a full one is lost. Friends who claimed lately make room: three of them take the jar to 125.

Where the cards come from. The 3-Star card is free for your first 5 days. After that, a top-up brings it back: 10 Stars or more for a day, 50 or more for three days. A top-up of 100 Stars or more gives the 5-Star card for a week, and a single top-up of 500 Stars or more gives the 10-Star card for 30 days — the whole road. Kept on that card, your first claim each day pays 555 Stars over the 30 days.

Spend the Sparks on a Spark box. Sparks aren't only for Spark rounds. The Spark box opens for 10 Sparks and the Spark scratch card plays for 20, and both can land real Stars and Telegram gifts. Is a free-Stars site, bot or APK legit? The 30-second check

"Free Telegram Stars" is also one of the busiest scam categories, and some of those pages rank on Google. Walk away if it:

• Asks for your phone number, login code, password or 2FA. Telegram never needs them outside its own app.
• "Generates" Stars for your username, or calls itself a panel or premium tool with "no password required". Stars are recorded on Telegram's side, so no site can add them.
• Is an APK or a modded Telegram app promising free or unlimited Stars. A client app can't add Stars, and these files are a common way to plant malware.
