Plinko is the easiest game on Gift Club to learn and the hardest to read the odds on, because everything depends on a table most versions never show you. You drop a ball from the top of a peg board, it bounces left or right at every row, and it pays whatever multiplier sits under the slot it lands in. This guide gives you the actual tables — all nine of them — plus the real chance of hitting each slot, so you can see exactly what you are buying before you drop a ball.

    How to play Plinko

    1. Open Plinko in the Gift Club app. Open Gift Club in Telegram, go to the Games hub and pick Plinko. Nothing to install — the game runs inside the Telegram client.
    2. Choose free mode or a Stars bet. Free mode pays XP and costs nothing. Paid mode accepts 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 Stars per drop and pays Stars at the table multiplier.
    3. Pick a board size. 8, 12 or 16 rows. More rows means more pegs, a narrower spread of likely outcomes in the middle, and a bigger top prize on the edges.
    4. Pick a risk level. Low, Medium or High. Risk does not change your odds of landing anywhere — it changes what each slot pays, moving value from the centre slots out to the edges.
    5. Drop the ball. Tap drop. The ball bounces once per row, so a 16-row board makes 16 independent left-or-right decisions before it settles.
    6. Collect the slot multiplier. Your payout is bet × the multiplier printed under the landing slot. Stars land in your balance immediately; free-mode drops award XP instead.
    7. Verify the round if you want to. Each drop resolves against a seed the server committed to before you played. Open the fairness panel to check the revealed seed against the published hash.

    Plinko pros and cons

    Pros

    • Nine published multiplier tables — you can see the exact payout for every slot before you bet
    • One tap per round, so it is the fastest game in the app to play in a spare minute
    • Free XP mode uses the same board, which makes it a genuinely useful way to learn the spread
    • Risk level lets you choose between frequent small returns and rare large ones without changing games
    • Provably fair: the drop resolves against a pre-committed seed you can verify afterwards

    Cons

    • Pure chance — no decision you make after choosing the board affects where the ball lands
    • The centre slots pay under 1×, and the centre is where the ball lands most often
    • The 107.4× headline slot hits once in roughly 65,000 drops, which is easy to misread as attainable

What the risk levels actually change

This is the part most Plinko explainers get wrong. Changing the risk level does not change where the ball is likely to land. The physics of the board are fixed: on a 16-row board the ball makes sixteen independent left-or-right bounces, so the landing distribution is binomial and the centre slot collects 19.64% of drops no matter what.

What risk changes is the payout attached to each slot. Compare the centre of the 16-row board across the three levels: Low pays 0.6×, Medium pays 0.4×, High pays 0.2×. Now compare the edge: 10.2×, 21.0×, 107.4×. High risk takes value out of the slots you hit constantly and moves it into the slots you will almost never hit.

So the practical reading is: Low risk returns a little of your stake often; High risk returns almost nothing most of the time and occasionally returns a lot. Neither is a better bet than the other in the long run — they are the same margin distributed differently.

Why more rows is not the same as better odds

The 16-row High board carries the 107.4× headline, and that number is what draws people to it. It is worth seeing what it costs. On the 8-row board the edge slot pays 29.0× and hits 0.39% of the time — roughly once in 256 drops. On the 16-row board the edge pays 107.4× but hits 0.0015% of the time, about once in 65,536 drops.

The multiplier went up by a factor of 3.7. The frequency went down by a factor of 256. Extra rows do not add value, they redistribute it further out along the tail — which is fine if a rare large hit is what you are playing for, and actively bad if you wanted your balance to last.

    A realistic way to play

    • Learn on the free board first. Twenty free drops will show you the spread faster than any table. The XP is a bonus.
    • Match the board to what you want. Playing for session length: 8 or 12 rows on Low. Playing for a shot at a big number: 16 rows on High, with a stake you have written off.
    • Set a drop count, not a target. "Thirty drops at 5 Stars" is a budget you can keep. "I'll stop when I hit the edge" is not.
    • Ignore streaks. Every drop is independent. Ten centre landings in a row do not make an edge landing due — the board has no memory.

How Plinko compares to the other Gift Club games

Plinko is the app's purest chance game: once the ball is dropped there is nothing to decide. If you want a game where your decisions change the outcome, Minefield and Mines Tower both let you choose when to cash out, which means you set your own risk ceiling rather than picking one off a menu. If you want to pick your own odds outright, Roll Over lets you name any win chance between 1% and 97% and prices the multiplier to match.

There is also Plinko Gold, an 8-row variant with two bonus pegs that spawn a free extra ball. It is a different game mathematically, not a cosmetic reskin — the base slot table is scaled down to pay for the free ball.

Is Plinko on Gift Club provably fair?

Yes. Before you drop, the server publishes the hash of a server seed. The bounce sequence is derived from that seed combined with your client seed and a round nonce. After the round the server seed is revealed, and you can recompute the drop yourself and check the hash matches what was published beforehand. A server that changed the outcome after seeing your bet would have to produce a seed that no longer hashes to the value it already committed to.

That mechanism proves the result was not tampered with after the fact. It does not make the game a positive-value bet — the multiplier tables are published above, and they are set so the house keeps a margin. Both things are true at once, and any operator telling you provable fairness means you can beat the game is misrepresenting it. More on evaluating this in Are Telegram Gift Games Legit?

    Plinko FAQ

What is the maximum win in Telegram Plinko?

The highest multiplier on Gift Club's Plinko is 107.4×, on the outer slots of the 16-row board at High risk. At the maximum 100-Star bet that is 10,740 Stars. That slot is hit on roughly 0.0015% of drops — about once in 65,536 — so it should be treated as a tail outcome rather than a target.

Does changing the risk level change my odds of winning?

No. The ball's landing distribution is fixed by the number of rows and is identical at every risk level. Risk only changes what each slot pays: High risk lowers the payouts on the frequently-hit centre slots and raises the payouts on the rarely-hit edges.

How many rows should I choose in Plinko?

Fewer rows for a longer session, more rows for a bigger top prize. The 8-row edge pays 29.0× and lands about once in 256 drops; the 16-row edge pays 107.4× but lands about once in 65,536. More rows push value further into the tail rather than adding any.

Can I play Plinko on Telegram for free?

Yes. Gift Club's Plinko has a free mode that uses the same boards and pays XP instead of Stars — 10 XP on the 16-row edge slots down to 1 XP in the centre. XP raises your account level, and it is the sensible way to learn the board before staking Stars.

What bet sizes does Plinko accept?

Paid Plinko rounds accept 5, 10, 20, 50 or 100 Telegram Stars per drop. Free rounds cost nothing and pay XP.

Is there a strategy that beats Plinko?

No. Every drop is independent and the multiplier tables are fixed, so no sequence of board or risk choices produces a long-run edge. What you can control is variance and spend: lower risk and fewer rows make a balance last longer, and a fixed drop budget is the only reliable way to keep a session where you want it.

Play within your limits. Paid rounds cost Telegram Stars and every game on Gift Club is built so the house keeps a margin — over enough rounds the maths runs against you, by design. Stars cannot be converted back into money. Treat paid play as entertainment you have budgeted for, set a limit before you start, and use the free XP mode whenever you just want to play. Gift Club is 18+.
