This Secret Santa generator draws names for your group and gives every person their own private link that shows only who they are buying for. There is no sign-up and no email address to collect: you send the links in Telegram or any other chat. The draw runs in your browser, so the names never reach our server.

How to draw names for Secret Santa online

1. Type everyone's name, one per line. You need at least 3 people and can have up to 50.
2. Add the pairs who should not draw each other, such as couples, if you want any.
3. Set a budget, the exchange date and a note for everyone. All three are optional.
4. Press Draw names. Nobody draws themselves, and every rule you added is kept.
5. Send each person their own link with Copy link or Send in Telegram. Each link shows only who that person is buying for.

The page keeps the draw in your browser, so you can close it and come back to send the links you have not sent yet. Start over deletes it.

Is there a Secret Santa generator that needs no email?

Yes, this one. Most Secret Santa sites email every participant, so you have to collect addresses first and hope the message is not in spam. Here you type first names, draw, and send each person a link in Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack or any other chat. Nobody types an email address, makes an account or installs anything.

How does Secret Santa work?

Everyone in the group is secretly given one other person to buy a present for, and nobody draws themselves. Each person buys one gift, within a budget the group agrees on, and the presents are handed out on an agreed day. The usual version keeps the givers anonymous until the exchange; some groups reveal them at the end, some never do.

Drawing names from a hat works until someone pulls out their own name, or the group is not all in one room. A generator fixes both: it cannot give you yourself, and it does not need everyone in the same place.

Secret Santa rules that keep it fair

• A budget stated as a number. "Something small" means a different amount to everyone, and the gap is what makes someone feel bad on the day.
• Draw at least 2 weeks before the exchange. Late draws produce panic-bought gifts, and parcels need time to arrive.
• Keep couples apart. People who already give each other presents gain nothing from drawing each other. Add them as a pair the draw must avoid.
• Leave a hint. The note field is the place for "no socks", "wrap it" or "add a card", and everyone gets the same note in their link.
• One date for everyone. Set the exchange date in the tool so it appears in every link rather than in a chat message that scrolls away.

How the private links work

Each link carries its own person's match, and nothing about anyone else. That match sits after the # in the address, a part of a link that browsers never send to a server, so the site that serves this page never sees the names. The page also removes it from the address bar before our analytics loads.

Two honest limits. First, the organiser holds every link, so opening someone else's shows their match: if you are taking part, send the links without opening them. Second, a link is a message, not a lock. Whoever has it can open it, so send each one in a private chat rather than a group.

If you change the group and draw again, you get new links, and the ones you already sent keep the old match. Redraw only before anyone has opened theirs.

Secret Santa when the group is spread out

Remote teams and families in different cities can still draw names here, but the gift has to travel.
