Blackjack is the card game where you try to get closer to 21 than the dealer without going over. This is free blackjack in your browser first, then in Telegram: six decks shuffled fresh for every hand, blackjack pays 3:2, the dealer hits soft 17, and playing basic strategy returns 99.15%. In a Spark round the app also names the best move for the hand you hold, so it doubles as a blackjack trainer.

    How to play Blackjack

    1. 1
Open Blackjack in the Games hubLaunch Gift Club inside Telegram, open Games and pick Blackjack. To try it first, play the free browser demo on this page.
    2. 2
Choose a Spark round or a stakeA Spark round costs 1 Spark, shows the strategy hint and pays XP. A paid hand takes 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 Stars, or a Gram (formerly Toncoin) stake from 0.1 to 10.
    3. 3
Read the tableYou get two cards face up. The dealer shows one card and keeps one face down. Cards 2 to 9 count their face value, picture cards and tens count 10, and an ace counts 1 or 11.
    4. 4
Hit, stand, double or splitHit takes a card, stand keeps your total, and going over 21 is a bust. Double on a hard 9, 10 or 11 for one more stake and exactly one more card. Split a pair into two hands, once.
    5. 5
Let the dealer playThe dealer turns the face-down card, draws to 17 and hits a soft 17. Beat the dealer and you get 2× your stake, a blackjack pays 2.5×, and a tie gives your stake back.

    Blackjack pros and cons

    Pros

    • Blackjack pays 3:2, and every Stars tier is even so it pays whole Stars
    • 99.15% RTP when you play basic strategy, a published and simulated figure
    • A fresh six-deck shoe every hand: no history to chase and nothing to track
    • Spark rounds show the best move for your hand, so you can learn the chart while you play
    • Provably fair: the shoe is fixed before the first card and you can replay it after the hand
    • Accepts Gram as well as Stars

    Cons

    • The dealer hits soft 17 and a split hand doesn't double, which take a little off the friendliest rules
    • The 99.15% needs basic strategy on every hand; casual play returns about 94%
    • Card counting has nothing to work with, because the shoe is reshuffled every hand
    • A double or a split asks for a second stake, and without enough balance the move is refused
    • No insurance and no surrender

What are the blackjack rules here, and what do they cost?

The rules are the table above. Four of them decide how much the house keeps. Blackjack pays 3:2, the standard payout: on a 6:5 table the same basic strategy would return 97.79% instead of 99.15%, so 3:2 is worth keeping an eye on wherever you play. The dealer hits soft 17, which takes a little off the player compared with a dealer who stands on it. You double only on a hard 9, 10 or 11 and never after a split, which costs a little more. On the other side, there is no insurance, which for a player who isn't counting is a side bet that costs more than it returns.

Add those up and a perfect player gives the house 0.85% of the first stake over a long run. Everyone else gives it more, which the RTP table above shows.

What is the basic blackjack strategy for these rules?

Basic strategy is the move that wins most often for each hand against each dealer card, worked out by playing every combination out. This table is the one for the rules above: the standard six-deck chart, adjusted for a dealer who hits soft 17, doubles on a hard 9 to 11 only and no double after a split. A double is only for your first two cards, so with three cards a hand that says double just hits, and after a split a 9, 10 or 11 simply hits.

    Your handWhat to do
    Hard 8 or lessHit
Hard 9Double against a dealer 3 to 6, otherwise hit
Hard 10Double against a dealer 2 to 9, otherwise hit
Hard 11Double against any dealer card
Hard 12Stand against a dealer 4 to 6, otherwise hit
    Hard 13 to 16Stand against a dealer 2 to 6, otherwise hit
    Hard 17 or moreStand
    Soft 13 to 17 (ace and 2 to 6)Hit
    Soft 18 (ace and 7)Stand against a dealer 2 to 8, hit against a 9, a 10 or an ace
    Soft 19 or 20 (ace and 8 or 9)Stand
Pair of aces or 8sAlways split
    Pair of 10sStand
    Pair of 9sSplit against a dealer 2 to 6, 8 or 9; stand against a 7, a 10 or an ace
Pair of 7sSplit against a dealer 2 to 7, otherwise hit
Pair of 6sSplit against a dealer 3 to 6, otherwise hit
Pair of 2s or 3sSplit against a dealer 4 to 7, otherwise hit
Pair of 5sPlay it as a hard 10
    Pair of 4sHit

Soft means the hand has an ace counted as 11 and hard means it doesn't. Because doubling is limited to a hard 9 to 11 here, no soft hand doubles, which is why the soft rows are all hit or stand. The cell-by-cell version, for every dealer card and other rule sets, is the basic strategy chart and trainer, and when to split in blackjack explains the pairs and doubles row by row.

    Blackjack simulator with strategy hints

The free browser demo on this page is a blackjack simulator with the strategy hint switched on: it deals the same game you get in Telegram, names the best move for the hand in front of you, and lets you take it or try something else to see what happens. That makes it a practice table for the chart above, with nothing to sign up for.

In the app the hint appears in Spark rounds only. A Spark round costs 1 Spark, pays XP, and shows a "Tip" with the right move for the hand you hold; Stars and Gram hands play without it. Treat Spark rounds as the trainer and paid hands as the test: after a few dozen hands you will know the table without looking.

    Can you count cards here?

No. Counting works because cards leave a shoe and don't come back until the reshuffle, so what has been dealt tells you what is left. This game builds a new six-deck shoe, shuffled in full, for every single hand, so nothing carries from one hand to the next and the count is back to zero before you act. The edge in this game is the chart above and nothing else.

What is the RTP of this blackjack game?

99.15% when every decision follows basic strategy, counted on your first stake the way blackjack returns are usually quoted. That is a simulated figure: 8 million hands through the same rules and the same shoe code the game runs. What matters more is what you actually play. A player who makes the wrong move one time in ten returns 94.08%, one who never draws a card that could bust them returns 92.16%, and one who copies the dealer returns 93.94%. Blackjack is a game where skill moves the return by several points, and the hint exists to close that gap.

A hand's best result is a win after doubling, which returns 4× the first stake: 800 on the 200 tier and 40 at 10. A natural blackjack returns 2.5×. For the wider picture of what RTP means, see what RTP is and how gambling odds work; for what each rule costs, see the blackjack house edge.

    What can you stake?

A Spark round costs one Spark and pays XP. Paid hands take 10, 20, 50, 100 or 200 Stars, or a Gram stake from 0.1 to 10. Doubling and splitting take a second stake of the same size from your balance; if you don't have it, the move is refused, nothing is taken, and the hand carries on with hit and stand. In a Spark round a double or a split costs nothing extra. A hand you leave alone for 10 minutes is stood for you and settled.

    Is this blackjack provably fair?

Yes. Before you are dealt, the server commits to a seed and publishes its hash. The six-deck shoe of 312 cards is then shuffled in full with 311 numbers derived from that seed, your client seed and the hand number. Your cards come off the front of the shoe and the dealer's off the back (the up-card first, then the hole card), so the dealer's hand is fixed by the shoe alone and doesn't depend on how many cards you take.

When the hand is over you can rotate the seed, which reveals the old one, and replay the shoe and your moves to check every card. A hand that is still live is verified once it ends, because revealing the seed earlier would reveal the cards still to come. Provably fair verification walks through the check, and the provably fair checker replays a blackjack hand from the seeds and your moves.

Blackjack Duel is multiplayer blackjack: you and a friend each play your own cards against one shared dealer, and the first to win two hands takes the pot. For another card game against the odds, try Higher / Lower.

    Blackjack FAQ

    How much does blackjack pay?

A blackjack, an ace and a ten-value card on the deal, pays 3:2, so a 10 stake returns 25. A normal win pays 1:1, which returns 2× the stake. A tie returns your stake, and a win after doubling returns 4× the first stake.

What is the RTP of Blackjack on Gift Club?

99.15% when you play basic strategy on every hand, counted on the first stake and simulated over 8 million hands. Casual play, with a wrong move one time in ten, returns about 94%.

Does the dealer hit on soft 17?

Yes. The dealer draws to 17 and also hits a soft 17, an ace counted as 11 with a total of 17. The dealer peeks under an ace or a ten-value card, so a dealer blackjack ends the hand at once.

Can I double down after splitting?

No. You can double on your first two cards when they make a hard 9, 10 or 11, but not on a split hand. You can split a pair once, split aces take one card each, and 21 on a split hand counts as 21, not as blackjack.

    Is there insurance or surrender?

Neither. The dealer checks for blackjack before you act, so there is no insurance bet to take, and a hand is not surrendered once it is dealt.

Can I play blackjack for free?

Yes. The browser demo on this page is free and needs no sign-up. In the app, a Spark round costs 1 Spark, which the daily streak pays, and it shows the strategy hint and pays XP.

Can I count cards in this game?

No, because a new six-deck shoe is shuffled for every hand. Nothing that was dealt before can tell you what comes next.

Can I play blackjack for Gram?

Yes. Blackjack accepts Gram stakes from 0.1 to 10 alongside the 10 to 200 Star tiers, at the same rules and payouts. A double or a split takes a second Gram stake of the same size.

What happens if I leave in the middle of a hand?

The hand stays on the table. After 10 minutes with no move it is stood for you and settled, so you never lose a hand to a dropped connection without a result.

Play within your limits. Paid rounds cost Telegram Stars or Gram, and every game on Gift Club is built so the house keeps a margin — over enough rounds the maths runs against you, by design.
