How to gift Stars on Telegram, step by step
- Open Telegram and go to Settings.
- Tap My Stars.
- Tap Gift Stars.
- Pick a friend. Anyone with a birthday today sits at the top of the list.
- Choose a pack of Stars and pay for it.
Your friend sees a Stars gift in the chat, and the Stars land on their balance at once.
Why is there no Gift Stars button on my iPhone?
In its July 31, 2024 blog post, Telegram said the menu shows on iOS only once you have bought Stars for yourself. Buy a small pack for yourself in My Stars and the button appears. If it still doesn't, update Telegram.
Can you send your own Stars to a friend?
Not directly: Gift Stars sells a new pack, and your balance stays where it is. To share Stars you already own, send your friend a Telegram gift. It is paid from your balance, and the recipient can keep it on their profile or convert it to Stars. Sending one is covered in How to send a gift on Telegram.
Can you gift Stars through Fragment?
Yes. Fragment, Telegram's official marketplace, sells Stars for crypto and tops up a friend's balance as well as your own. A Star is usually cheaper there than in the App Store:

What can your friend do with the Stars?
