There is no trick, app or bot that gives you Telegram Premium for free. Premium is a paid subscription on your account. Two free routes are real: winning it in a channel giveaway, where Telegram picks the winners, or getting it as a gift from someone who pays for it. Everything else that promises free Premium is a scam, or a modified app you shouldn't install.
How can you get Telegram Premium for free?
As of 30 September 2026, these are the routes Telegram documents:

Neither is something you can make happen on demand. A giveaway depends on finding a real one, and a gift depends on someone choosing to send it.
How do Telegram Premium giveaways work?
Since November 2023, channel owners of any level can start a giveaway from Channel Info → Statistics → Boosts → Get Boosts via Gifts. The owner sets the number of winners and the duration, and can limit entry to all subscribers or only new ones, to certain countries, or to people who subscribe to other channels too.
Telegram then randomly selects the winners based on those rules and distributes the prizes. Winners get a link with a gift code, and each code includes a free Premium subscription. Telegram says the codes can serve as public verification that someone really won. Organisers may add other prizes on top.
The organiser has to pay for every Premium subscription in advance, so a genuine giveaway never costs the winner anything. If you already have Premium, you can still enter and win, and pass the prize to a friend. If you win Premium, the boosts that come with it go to the host channel.
Can a friend gift you Telegram Premium?
Yes. Anyone with an active Premium subscription can open your profile and tap Gift Premium to send you a prepaid 3, 6 or 12 month subscription. Telegram says gifts use the global rate, so they work across countries, and you can set up a local subscription afterwards. The steps are in How to Send a Gift on Telegram.

Are free Premium apps, bots and mod APKs real?
No. Telegram lists exactly how to subscribe: the App Store, Google Play, @PremiumBot, and gifts or giveaways. Premium lives on your account, so a modified app can't create a subscription for it, and an unofficial client may not support Premium features at all. A modified APK is also a way of handing your login to a stranger.
Signs that a "free Premium" offer is not what it says:
- It asks you to pay, log in or enter a code first. A real giveaway prize arrives as a link Telegram distributes to the winners.
- It comes in a DM. Real giveaways are announced in the channel that runs them, with rules you can read.
- It wants you to install something. Premium needs no download beyond Telegram itself.
- It promises it with no conditions. Nobody gives away subscriptions on a scale that would need no rules, and giveaways always have a winner count and an end date.
What is the cheapest legitimate way if free isn't possible?

Do Telegram Stars buy Premium?
Not for your own subscription: Telegram's Premium FAQ lists the App Store, Google Play and @PremiumBot. But since March 2025 Premium can be gifted and paid for with Stars, so a friend can use their Stars to gift it to you.
Not selling Premium
Gift Club doesn't sell Telegram Premium, and its Sparks and Stars can't be turned into a subscription. It's a Mini App with boxes and mini-games.
