Telegram Wallet Missing? It Became Walt and Money

If your Telegram wallet is missing, it is not gone: on September 28, 2026, the Wallet bot was renamed Walt and dropped from Telegram's main menu, and Telegram added its own wallet, called Money, in its place. Your balance, address and settings stayed in Walt. Open @walt to find them, and look for Money in Telegram's settings once a Gram transfer has reached your account.

Why did the wallet disappear from the Telegram menu?

Telegram stopped showing the Wallet bot in its menu and renamed the product. Here is the sequence, with dates:

• February 2026. xvestor.ru reported on February 18 that the wallet now sat in the three-dot menu at the top right, instead of in the main list.
• July 21, 2026. Pavel Durov announced a native non-custodial Gram wallet for every Telegram app.
• September 28, 2026. Users noticed Wallet had left the main menu, vc.ru wrote the next day. The bot was renamed Walt, moved to @walt and got a new logo. Its founder, Andrey Rogozov, said it would keep its features and grow into a platform for trading, investing and moving money between blockchains.
• October 9, 2026. Walt's channel announced that Telegram's wallet was now called Money and was being rolled out widely.

Where is the Telegram wallet now?

There are two places, because there are two products. The old Wallet is in the bot Walt: search for @walt in Telegram and open it. It is a separate company's app for buying, trading and holding crypto. Telegram's new wallet is Money, inside the Telegram app itself.

Where are my funds after the rename?

In Walt, where you left them. Walt's channel says that after the name change your balance, addresses and settings stay the same and you do not need to do anything. Money is a different wallet that starts empty, so nothing moves into it on its own. To move Gram across, open Money, tap Add Funds and choose Deposit from Walt; Walt says this arrives in seconds with no network fee.

Walt is not available everywhere. Dropstab reported on August 16, 2026, that it is restricted in the US, the UK and most of the EU, with Germany, Italy and Spain allowed, and open in most emerging markets. If @walt does not open for you, do not look for it through a third party: check Walt's own channel.

Is the new @walt real, or a fake?

The rename produced a wave of imitators. Walt posted that official accounts are @walt, @walt_news and @walt_support and that anything else is not them. It also says its team never messages you first, so block anyone who claims to be Walt support or an admin, and never share your secret words or a login code. I hold Gram. What can I do with it now that the wallet moved?
