Telegram itself pays Gram (TON) in three ways: a share of ad revenue to channel owners, Stars earned by a channel or bot that are withdrawn to a TON wallet through Fragment, and the sale of gifts and NFTs for Gram. Nothing else that promises "free Gram" pays. Faucets, tap bots and "mining" apps hand out test coins, nothing, or a theft of your wallet. Gift Club does not give Gram away either: you deposit it to play, and the one thing it can hand you that turns into Gram is an NFT prize you sell yourself.
What actually pays Gram on Telegram?
As of September 30, 2026:
| Way | Who it is for | How you get Gram |
|---|---|---|
| Channel ad revenue | Owners of public channels | Telegram shares 50% of ad revenue; you withdraw via Fragment |
| Stars earned by a channel or bot | Channel owners and bot developers | Withdraw the Stars balance through Fragment to your TON wallet |
| Selling a gift or NFT | Anyone who owns a collectible | List it in Gram, or export it to TON and sell it on a marketplace |
| Free Gram bots, faucets, mining apps | Nobody | They don't pay. See the scam list below |
Every real route needs something to sell: an audience, a bot people pay, or a collectible. There is no route that pays you for tapping a screen.
How do channel owners earn Gram from ads?
Telegram announced on March 31, 2024 that channel owners can receive 50% of the revenue from the ads shown in their channels. As announced, it was open to owners of public channels with at least 1,000 subscribers, ads were bought with Toncoin (now Gram), and owners withdraw through Fragment. Telegram may have changed the conditions since, so check the current terms in your channel's own statistics before you plan around it.
The amount depends entirely on your audience and on which advertisers bid, so no article can tell you a figure. Anyone quoting one is guessing.
Can you turn Telegram Stars into Gram?
Only Stars that a channel or bot you own has earned. Telegram's developer documentation describes it: you request a withdrawal for the Stars balance of that channel or bot, and Telegram sends you to a Fragment page where you enter the address of your TON wallet. Stars you bought for your own account are a different balance, and this route doesn't cover them. The two currencies are compared in Telegram Stars vs TON (Gram).
Can you sell Telegram gifts and NFTs for Gram?
Yes, if the gift is a collectible. Telegram's documentation lets the owner of a collectible gift list it on Telegram's marketplace with a price in Stars or in TON, and Telegram takes a commission that differs by currency. A collectible can also be exported to the TON blockchain as an NFT through Fragment and sold on a TON marketplace. Network and marketplace fees apply, so a cheap gift can lose most of its value to them. The full walkthrough is in How to Sell Telegram Gifts, and you need a wallet first: How to Set Up a TON Wallet for Telegram.
Does staking or holding Gram earn anything?
TON's own site says Gram is used to pay fees and to take part in validation and voting, and that liquid staking protocols accept stakes from 1 Gram. Staking is a third-party service that pays a variable return, not a Telegram feature, and the coin's price can fall while you hold it. We give no investment advice: check a provider's own terms and never stake what you can't afford to lose.

What "free Gram" offers are scams?
- Free-TON and free-Gram bots. A bot that "sends you Gram" for joining channels, inviting friends or watching ads has no Gram to send. Its business is your account and your referrals, and the payout never arrives or needs a "fee" first.
- Faucets. A faucet on a testnet gives away test coins, which have no market value. A "mainnet faucet" that pays real Gram is the same trick as the bots.
- "TON mining" apps. TON is secured by validators who stake the coin, not by mining, so a phone app has nothing to mine. The balance it shows is a number in the app, and the withdrawal button typically asks for a deposit first.
- Airdrop and "claim GRAM" sites. The official TON channel's warning, word for word: "Any site, bot, or link asking you to 'claim GRAM' or 'migrate TON' is a scam." The rename needed no action from anyone. See Toncoin Is Now Gram.
- Fake wallet bots. Look-alikes of the real wallets ask you to connect, sign a transaction you didn't start, or type your recovery phrase. Nothing legitimate ever needs those words. Read Gram Wallet: Telegram's Built-In Wallet vs the Gram Wallet App to tell the real products apart.

Does Gift Club pay Gram?
Gift Club does not give Gram for free, and playing is not a way to earn it. What it does:
- You deposit Gram to play. You connect a TON wallet, deposit from 1 GRAM, and play the games that have a Gram mode. A win in a Gram round lands in your Gram balance.
- The Gram balance stays in the app. The app says deposited Gram is for in-game use and can't be withdrawn, and it has no Gram withdrawal.
- An NFT prize can become Gram. Some prizes are NFTs. You can send one to your connected TON wallet (Gifts & NFTs, then Transfer to Wallet; the app promises delivery within 24 hours) and sell it on a TON marketplace, which pays you in Gram from the buyer. Once you request a transfer, you can't exchange that prize in the app. See how to sell a Gift Club NFT for Gram.
Games have a house edge, so a Gram round is a purchase of entertainment, not income. The published figures are in the RTP index. Step by step, from wallet to first round: How to play with Gram on Gift Club.
Earn Gram (TON) FAQ
How do I earn Toncoin for free?
There is no free route that pays. Channel owners can share in ad revenue and bot developers can withdraw earned Stars, but both need an audience. A bot or app that promises free Gram for taps or invites is a scam.
How can I get Gram?
Buy it on an exchange or inside a Telegram wallet, then hold it in a TON wallet. See Gram Wallet for the options.
Is Gram (TON) a good investment?
We don't give investment advice. Gram's price is set by the market and can fall as well as rise, and a rename or a new wallet doesn't change that. Check a live price tracker and never buy because a bot or an ad told you to.
Is TON mining real?
No. TON is secured by validators who stake the coin, so there is nothing for a phone to mine. Apps that show a mining balance are scams.
Are free Gram bots real?
They don't pay real Gram. Some hand out testnet coins with no value, and the rest collect your account, your referrals or a deposit.
Can I withdraw Gram from Gift Club?
No. The Gram balance is for use inside the app, and the app has no Gram withdrawal. An NFT prize can be sent to your TON wallet and sold there.
Does Gift Club give free Gram?
No. You deposit Gram to play the Gram modes. Spark rounds and the daily streak are separate and pay Sparks, not Gram.
